China’s Wholesale Beanie Supplier for B2B Buyers

WeaveEssence operates from an integrated knitwear factory in Zhejiang Province, producing custom beanies and knit hats for importers, retailers, sports teams, and promotional merchandise buyers across North America, Europe, and Australia. As a factory-direct wholesale beanie supplier, we eliminate the middleman: your specifications go directly to our production team, and your bulk order ships directly to your destination port.

Our beanie programme covers six standard constructions — ribbed classic, slouch fashion, pom-pom, fleece-lined, sports performance, and fisherman — in acrylic, merino wool, cashmere blend, GRS-certified recycled yarn, and cotton. Every construction is available with jacquard logo knitting, embroidery, woven label, or heat transfer branding. Our OEM knitwear manufacturing process runs from tech pack review through bulk production on a single factory floor, keeping specification control tight and lead times predictable.

All yarn, dyes, and accessories used in beanie production are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Bulk orders are inspected to AQL 2.5 (ISO 2859-1), with colour fastness tested to ISO 105-C06 and pilling resistance assessed to ISO 12945-2. A full inspection report and measurement report ship with every order. For buyers coordinating beanies with scarves and gloves, we produce all three from the same factory — one sample approval cycle, one production schedule, one consolidated shipment.

❌ Common misconception: “Any factory can match our beanie colour to a scarf from a different supplier — colour is just colour.”

✅ Reality: Colour in knitwear is a function of yarn dye lot, fibre type, stitch density, and finishing process — not a Pantone code lookup.

Two factories producing from the same Pantone reference will routinely produce fabrics that diverge by Delta E 3.0–8.0 at shipment — visible to the naked eye under retail lighting. WeaveEssence runs beanies, scarves, and gloves from the same yarn lot within the same production window, delivering Delta E below 1.0 between components. For coordinated winter accessories sets, this is our standard production protocol, not an optional upgrade.

Six Standard Constructions — MOQ 500 pcs Each

01 — Classic

Ribbed Classic Beanie

The foundational wholesale beanie — 1×1 or 2×2 rib knit, close-fitting, available in 3gg to 12gg gauge. Suits promotional, retail, and sports branding programmes at volume.

  • Gauges: 3gg (chunky) to 12gg (fine rib)
  • Turn-up cuff or no-cuff options
  • Jacquard logo knitting or embroidery branding
  • Most cost-efficient construction for bulk volume
02 — Fashion

Slouch & Fashion Beanie

Extended-crown slouch construction for fashion retail buyers. Extra fabric volume creates the relaxed drape profile. Available in fine-gauge rib and flat-knit with mixed-yarn textures.

  • Crown extension: 4–8 cm over standard fit
  • Fine gauge (7gg–12gg) for drapery effect
  • Compatible with pom-pom attachment
  • Suitable for merino wool and cashmere blend yarn
03 — Performance

Sports & Performance Beanie

Engineered for sports teams and fan merchandise — flat seam construction, close fit, reflective logo options. Acrylic or recycled GRS yarn in 200+ team Pantone shades. Pairs with custom fan scarves for team sets.

  • Flat-seam finish eliminates pressure points
  • Reflective yarn or woven label branding options
  • Team Pantone match across beanie + scarf + glove
  • MOQ 500 pcs per style per colour
04 — Winter Warmth

Fleece-Lined Beanie

Double-layer construction — knit outer shell with bonded polar fleece inner lining. Delivers measurably higher thermal retention than unlined beanies. Preferred by outdoor retail and workwear buyers.

  • Outer: acrylic rib or flat-knit shell
  • Inner: 100g/m² polar fleece lining, bonded
  • Ear-covering depth: standard or extended
  • Woven label or embroidery branding options
05 — Premium Detail

Pom-Pom Beanie

Ribbed crown beanie with detachable or fixed pom-pom. Available in matching yarn, faux fur, or real fur pom options. Popular for children’s retail, fashion gifting, and premium winter sets.

  • Pom diameter: 6 cm, 8 cm, 10 cm standard
  • Pom materials: matching acrylic / faux fur / real fur
  • Detachable pom via snap or tie for wash ease
  • Pairs with coordinated gift sets
06 — Heritage

Fisherman & Cuffed Beanie

Short-crown fisherman beanie or deep-cuff roll-up style. Classic silhouette favoured by streetwear brands and heritage retail buyers. Flat knit or tight rib in natural fibre blends.

  • Crown height: 14–18 cm (fisherman) or full cuff
  • Preferred yarn: merino wool or cotton
  • Embroidered logo on cuff, jacquard stripe options
  • Matches merino wool scarf colourways

Yarn Options for Wholesale Beanies

01 — Volume Tier

Acrylic — Promotional & Sports

The core material for bulk knitted beanies — cost-efficient, colourfast in 200+ Pantone shades, and consistent across large runs. Preferred choice for promotional merchandise, sports teams, and value retail.

  • 200+ Pantone-matched shades, batch consistent
  • ISO 105-C06 colour fastness: Grade 4 minimum
  • ISO 12945-2 pilling resistance: Grade 3 minimum
  • See: acrylic knitwear range
02 — Premium Retail

Merino Wool — Retail & Brand

17.5–21 micron merino wool for buyers supplying premium retail channels. Naturally temperature-regulating, soft against skin, and positions at a higher retail price point than acrylic equivalents.

  • Micron range: 17.5 µm (superfine) to 21 µm (standard)
  • Pilling resistance: ISO 12945-2 Grade 3–4
  • Colourways coordinate with merino wool scarves
  • OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified yarn
03 — Luxury Gift

Cashmere Blend — Gift Sets

10–30% cashmere blend beanies for luxury gifting programmes. Coordinated with matching cashmere scarves from the same dye batch — enabling colour-matched gift sets with Delta E below 1.0 between components.

  • Cashmere content: 10%, 20%, or 30% by composition
  • Coordinated with cashmere scarf range
  • Same dye lot across beanie + scarf for Delta E <1.0
  • Suitable for premium retail and corporate gifting

Wholesale Beanie FAQ

What is the MOQ for wholesale beanie orders?

500 pcs per style per colour. Coordinated winter accessories sets (beanie + scarf + gloves) carry a set MOQ of 500 sets per configuration, produced from the same yarn dye lot within one production window.

Can you knit our logo directly into the beanie?

Yes — jacquard knitting integrates your logo into the fabric structure at the knitting stage, with no secondary process. Available on flat-knit and rib constructions from 3gg to 12gg; minimum logo repeat is approximately 2 cm × 2 cm.

What yarn options are available?

Acrylic (200+ Pantone shades), merino wool (17.5–21 micron), cashmere blend (10–30%), GRS-certified recycled yarn, and cotton. See our MOQ & pricing guide for yarn-tier cost comparison.

How long does sample development take?

10–15 working days from confirmed specification for standard constructions. Custom jacquard logo development or dye-to-match yarn sourcing adds 3–5 working days; see our sampling lead time page for full timeline.

Can beanies be produced as part of a coordinated winter set?

Yes — we produce coordinated beanie, scarf, and glove sets from one factory floor: one sample approval cycle, one production schedule, one consolidated shipment. Set MOQ is 500 sets per configuration; see winter accessories sets for full configuration options.

Glossary — Beanie Manufacturing Terms

Gauge (gg)
The number of needles per inch on a knitting machine. Lower gauge (3gg) produces chunky, open fabric; higher gauge (12gg) produces fine, dense rib. Gauge determines hand-feel, weight, and the yarn-thickness range each machine accepts.
Jacquard Knitting
A technique where patterns or logos are knitted directly into the fabric structure using multiple yarn colours during production — no secondary embroidery or printing required. Minimum repeat size approximately 2 cm × 2 cm at 7gg.
Delta E
A numerical measure of colour difference between two samples, calculated by spectrophotometer. Delta E ≤ 1.0 means colour difference is imperceptible to the human eye — our production standard for coordinated set components across beanies, scarves, and gloves.
AQL 2.5
Acceptable Quality Level under ISO 2859-1 statistical sampling. AQL 2.5 means no more than 2.5% defective units at the point of random inspection — the standard used by most EU and US retail importers for apparel.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
An independent certification confirming that all yarns, dyes, and accessories used in production are tested safe against harmful substances. Required by many EU retail buyers and procurement teams for all textile products.
ISO 12945-2
The standard test method for pilling resistance on flat textile samples. Grade 5 = no pilling; Grade 1 = severe pilling. WeaveEssence guarantees Grade 3 minimum on acrylic and Grade 3–4 on wool blends at bulk delivery.
