Knitwear From the Same Factory That Makes Your Scarves and Beanies
WeaveEssence is a knit accessories and knitwear factory in Zhejiang Province. We started with scarves, beanies and gloves for importers and promotional buyers, and knitwear is the natural next step for those customers: same yarn suppliers, same knitting discipline, same inspection standard, one production window instead of three.
The knitwear programme covers four families — crewneck and V-neck sweaters, button-through cardigans, jacquard and intarsia statement knits, and knit vests. All of them are quoted from a tech pack, not from a catalogue: you specify the gauge, the yarn and the size grade, and the price follows the specification rather than the other way round.
If you already buy scarves or beanies from us, a sweater in the same yarn and colour is the cheapest way to turn a single accessory order into a coordinated winter programme. If you are new to the factory, start with a sample: 10–15 working days from a confirmed spec tells you more about our gauge control than any brochure can.

01 — Sweaters
Crewneck & V-Neck Sweaters
The workhorse of a knitwear programme: set-in or raglan sleeve, ribbed collar and cuffs, plain or subtly textured body. Quoted from 5gg to 12gg depending on how heavy you want the hand-feel.

Button-Through Cardigans

03 — Pattern
Jacquard & Intarsia Knits
Statement knitwear where the pattern is the product. Jacquard carries multi-colour motifs across the whole panel; intarsia keeps large solid colour blocks clean without the carry-over threads on the reverse.

04 — Vests
Knit Vests & Sleeveless Tops
The lowest-yarn way into knitwear: sleeveless, lighter to ship, and easier to wear across seasons. Popular with promotional and corporate programmes because the decoration area is large and the unit cost is lower than a full sweater.

OEM Knitwear Manufacturing FAQ
What is the MOQ for custom knitwear?
MOQ is 500 pcs per style per colour, the same base MOQ as our scarf, beanie and glove programmes. A style that mixes sizes inside one colourway still counts as one style; each additional colour is a separate dye lot and a separate 500 pcs minimum.
Do you produce knitwear on the same floor as your scarves and beanies?
Yes. Knitwear is produced in the same Zhejiang factory that runs our scarf and beanie programmes, which is why a coordinated order — sweater, scarf and beanie from one yarn dye lot — is quoted as one production window rather than three separate lead times.
Which gauges can you quote?
Flat-knit and circular knit from 3gg (chunky) through 5gg, 7gg, 10gg and 12gg (fine). Gauge is confirmed per style at tech-pack stage, because the gauge determines yarn count, fabric weight and the smallest reproducible logo detail.
Can our logo be knitted into the garment instead of embroidered?
Yes — jacquard knitting builds the logo into the fabric structure during knitting, so there is no secondary embroidery step and no backing. Intarsia is the alternative when a design uses several solid colour blocks; the choice is driven by artwork complexity rather than by price alone.
How long does sampling take?
10–15 working days from a confirmed specification for standard constructions. Custom jacquard development, dye-to-match yarn, or a new size grade adds 3–5 working days. Bulk production runs 35–45 working days from PO and deposit.
What do you need from us to quote?
A tech pack or a clear reference garment photo, the gauge or fabric weight you have in mind, the yarn (acrylic, merino, cashmere blend, recycled), your size grade and target quantity, and the branding method. Without a gauge or weight we quote a range, not a price.
