❌ Misconception: “Any factory can produce a promotional scarf — just add a logo.”

✔ Reality: Logo accuracy in textile production is a manufacturing discipline, not a design task.

A woven or knitted logo requires a separate technical programme — a jacquard card for knitting machines or a dobby/jacquard weave plan for looms — built specifically for your artwork. Pixel-level artwork does not translate automatically to knit structure. A factory without dedicated programme-writing capability will either simplify your logo beyond recognition or introduce registration errors visible on the finished scarf. We write the jacquard programme from your supplied vector file, produce a struck-off sample and obtain written colour approval before any bulk run begins.

❌ Misconception: “Screen printing on scarves is cheaper and just as durable as jacquard.”

✔ Reality: Print durability on a scarf depends entirely on the base fabric and end-use washing conditions.

Screen print on a smooth woven polyester base achieves ISO 105-C06 wash fastness Grade 4–4.5, which is acceptable for scarves worn at matches or events. The same print on a brushed acrylic knit achieves Grade 3–3.5 — noticeably lower. For scarves intended to be washed after each use (corporate workwear, school merchandise, charity items), knitted jacquard is the correct construction because the logo is structurally part of the fabric. We declare the expected wash-fastness grade for your chosen construction in the sample approval document, so there are no disputes after bulk delivery.

❌ Misconception: “500 pcs MOQ is the manufacturer being inflexible — you should be able to do 100 pcs.”

✔ Reality: The 500-pcs minimum per style per colour reflects the physical requirements of controlled production, not commercial rigidity.

Yarn dyeing runs require a minimum bath volume to maintain colour consistency across the batch. Below 500 pcs, Delta-E variation between the first and last units on the production run increases to a range that cannot be guaranteed within brand specification. If a brand requires 200 scarves in three colourways, the correct approach is 200 pcs per colourway at a higher per-unit cost, or 500 pcs per colourway with surplus held as stock. We provide both options in writing so the buyer makes an informed commercial decision.
