Knitted Scarf Manufacturer China — Wholesale OEM Production
What We Produce — Knitted Scarf Styles & Constructions
Weave Essence manufactures knitted scarves across four primary constructions, each suited to different market segments and price points. Jacquard knitting — covered in detail on our jacquard knitting techniques page — allows complex multi-colour patterns to be knitted directly into the fabric without additional printing, delivering premium pattern definition ideal for branded and fashion products. Flat knit construction produces a smooth, even surface well suited to fine yarns and lightweight styles typically worn in transitional seasons.
Chunky knit scarves, produced on large-gauge machines, deliver the oversized, textured aesthetic popular in fashion retail and gift markets. Standard weights for chunky styles range from 250g to 500g per piece, with deep ribbed edges and open-stitch patterns available. Ribbed scarves — using 1×1, 2×2 or cable-rib structures — provide stretch, recovery and a classic knitwear appearance. All four constructions are available with fringe finishes, tassels, pompom ends or clean-cut hems depending on buyer preference. Custom OEM production is available from 100 pieces per colour per style.
Materials Available
Our knitted scarf range is available in five core fibre options. Grade A cashmere knitted scarves use 14–16 micron Mongolian fibre for exceptional softness and warmth-to-weight performance, with blends of 100% cashmere, 90/10 and 80/20 cashmere-wool available. For buyers seeking a durable yet soft natural fibre, our merino wool options use 18–22 micron certified merino that meets OEKO-TEX requirements and is suitable for next-to-skin wear.
Acrylic yarns — including 2/28Nm imitation cashmere constructions — provide the widest colour range and the most competitive pricing, making them the default choice for promotional and mass-market retail orders. Cotton and cotton-blend yarns suit spring and summer weights where breathability is a priority. Recycled GRS-certified yarns are available for sustainability-focused buyers who need to meet environmental sourcing commitments. All materials can be combined in blends to balance cost, performance and hand feel according to your brief. Refer to our MOQ & pricing guide for indicative costs by material tier.
MOQ, Lead Time & Customisation
Minimum order quantities for knitted scarves start at 100 pieces per colour per style, making Weave Essence accessible to emerging brands and seasonal test orders as well as established wholesale buyers. Sample development takes 10–15 working days from approval of the specification sheet and yarn card. Bulk production lead times run 45–60 days from pre-production sample sign-off, with expedited scheduling available on request for urgent seasonal orders.
Every order is fully customisable. Colours are matched to Pantone TPX/TPG references or physical yarn swatches. Logo placement can be achieved through jacquard integration, woven label, embroidery or printed label — our team will advise on the most suitable method for each construction. Size deviations from standard dimensions are accommodated with no tooling surcharge on most machine gauges. Custom hang tags, poly bags, gift boxes and retail-ready packaging complete the private label offering.
Quality Standards
All knitted scarves from Weave Essence are produced and tested against internationally recognised quality benchmarks. Fabric is tested for colour fastness to washing under ISO 105-C06, with minimum Grade 4 results required before bulk shipment approval. Pilling resistance is assessed using ISO 12945-2 (Martindale method), with standard acrylic and wool constructions achieving Grade 3–4 ratings. Products destined for baby or sensitive-skin markets are available with OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification, verifying the absence of harmful substances across the supply chain.
In-line quality checks occur at yarn intake, after knitting and during finishing. A final AQL 2.5 inspection is performed on all bulk shipments. Third-party testing through SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas can be arranged on buyer request. Our quality management documentation — including test reports, fibre composition certificates and inspection records — is supplied with every shipment as standard.
